Peacemakers offers conflict resolution workshops, courses and training to schools within the West Midlands. Our most popular work is listed below, however we are able to offer many other packages to meet the needs of schools.

Prices quoted below are based on one trainer for one group.

Peacemakers Course

Cost £2,000 for 20 hours
Bursaries of up to 50% may be available. 
Duration 20 hours over 10 weeks
Description A ten-week course working with one class or cohort to build social, emotional and conflict resolution skills. Delivered through weekly circle time workshops, this course is beneficial for each individual, for the class dynamic, and for teachers. Its aim is to help build strong relationship in the classroom and provide the skills to continue doing so. The course is tailored to the needs of each group by the trainer. A reduced price 2 day Peer Mediation course is also available to follow this course. See the full curriculum outline.

Peer Mediation Training

 

Cost £1,200 Duration 3 days
Description A three day course to train a new peer mediation team for primary or secondary schools. Whether the school is training a new cohort or establishing a wholly new peer mediation scheme, this course provides young people (and a supporting staff member) with the requisite skills to help their peers resolve conflicts.The cost is based on one trainer for a group of approximately 24 students.

Staff Training – INSET or Open

Cost £225 twilight, £300 half-day, £475 full day Duration twilight, half-day, full day training available
Description We run training on all aspects of building, maintaining and repairing relationships, – our trainers provide teachers, learning support assistants, lunchtime supervisors and other staff with key skills that help to create a more peaceful atmosphere within your school. Courses are run either as INSET, or ‘open’ courses may be run at a central location within Birmingham in line with demand. Please contact us for more information.

Whole School Approach

 

Cost £10,000. Bursaries towards the cost may be available. Duration usually four terms (18 months)
Description The Peacemakers Whole School Approach is a bespoke programme of peacebuilding activities that enhance relationships within a school. The aim is to create a more peaceful school community that helps teaching and learning.
Programme activities could include
  • Exploration and development

    established.
  • Restorative language, scripts,
    skills and processes.
  • The development of emotional
    vocabulary and intelligence.
  • Working with challenging
    behaviour.
  • The development of a shared
