Peacemakers is a small charity based in Birmingham that educates for peace. We work primarily in schools, developing and delivering courses, training and approaches that build peace and help resolve conflicts. We are looking for a part-time Programme Administrator to support this work.

The post will keep the systems that underlie the work running smoothly, including the admin around booking schools in for work, supporting the trainers in the schools, helping the Director with all admin tasks and providing administrative support for communications, finance, fundraising and event organisation.

We are looking for someone with administrative experience, organised and methodical, who enjoys making systems work and has good attention to detail. You should enjoy working in a friendly team, but can also work well on your own as other team members will often be out of the office. A commitment to peace is a necessity.

We welcome applications from a diverse range of people and from all sections of the community. We are very sorry but our first floor office is not wheelchair accessible.

We are looking for someone who can work 15 hours over 2-3 days, Monday to Thursday. We can adapt the job to term-time only if needed.

Please download the background pack which contains background information on the charity, the job description and person specification.

You may also find it helpful to look at other pages on this website where there is more information on what we do.

Completed application forms & diversity monitoring forms should be submitted to no later than 9am on Monday 3 July 2017.

All applicants who have been shortlisted will be contacted and invited to attend an interview. Interviews will be held at the Peacemakers Office on Monday 17 July. If you have not heard by then, please assume you have been unsuccessful on this occasion.
